Your Challenge

We’re looking for an experienced Data Engineer to help us build a secure, scalable, and compliant data platform that powers everything from machine learning to analytics and reporting.

You’ll work on diverse projects—from enabling ML and AI development, to ensuring data quality and pipeline efficiency, to implementing robust monitoring and compliance protocols. Your work will directly support data-driven product experiences and operational decision-making across the company.

We’re seeking someone who’s not just skilled in software engineering and modern data technologies (like Snowflake, Airflow, Segment.io, Vertex AI/SageMaker, Kubernetes, Terraform), but also eager to shape the future of our platform. Your Team

You’ll join the Data Platform team—part of the broader Data Organization that supports every department at Taxfix. Our goal? Enable smarter decisions, drive growth, and fuel automation and ML through accessible, high-quality data.

We’re a collaborative, cross-functional group that includes analysts, data engineers, ML engineers, and more. Our team combines diverse engineering backgrounds—from backend development to data infrastructure—making it easy to collaborate with product and engineering teams company-wide.

Your Responsibilities and Decisions

• Create the platform that makes ingress and egress of data in a fast-paced environment simple and reliable.
• Own the data and ML infrastructure at Taxfix.
• Research new technologies to help achieve mission goals across data management, analytics, and machine learning.
• Implement and support security and compliance policies to ensure data privacy and security.
• Participate in data architecture design and decision-making processes.
• Establish team-wide standards: excellent documentation, monitoring & alerting, code quality, unit testing, CI + CD.

Your Profile

• 5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar position.
• Proven track record with Python for Data Engineering, especially around Data Ingestion and Data Quality.
• Strong SQL skills and knowledge of Airflow and Docker.
• Experience with data quality and monitoring best practices.
• Familiarity with current data engineering tools on the market.
• Experience in Public Cloud Infrastructure (Google Cloud, AWS, Snowflake, Databricks).
• Excited to work cross-functionally with specialists from different domains.
• Team player who enjoys getting their hands dirty and mentoring others.
• Solid communication skills—ready to collaborate closely with business, analytics, and engineering teams.
• Hands-on experience with infrastructure tools like Terraform, Helm.
