Data Engineer

The DeepImmo Data & Analytics team contributes the quantitative edge to our product by building the data groundwork and bringing the data alive. To that end, we integrate an expansive set of data sources and prepare machine learning models as well as prototypes of analytical methods for their implementation in our Real Estate OS. Your contribution within this role will see you focusing on building out the most important of these components: the fundamental data landscape.

Your Role

  • Work closely with our product and engineering teams to provide high-value data for our customers. Your datasets will be a core part of our customer-facing Real Estate OS—used extensively and requiring top quality.
  • Build PySpark data-pipelines in Databricks to transform raw data into well-modeled, quality-assured datasets that drive innovative insights.
  • Implement data retrieval using APIs and Web Scraping from sources relevant to location, market, and pricing in real estate, expanding our data treasury.
  • Monitor and improve our data pipelines, ensuring smooth operation and quick intervention when issues arise.
  • Participate in tool and infrastructure decisions to shape our technology stack moving forward.

Your Profile

  • You excel at self-organization and embrace taking full ownership of your work.
  • You have a Master’s Degree (or Bachelor’s with comparable work experience) in Computer Science, Mathematics, Data Science, or a related field.
  • You have 2–3 years of work experience in the broader data area.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, and PySpark.
  • Experience working with Databricks or high motivation to learn it.
  • Optional: Know-how in TypeScript & Node.js.
  • Experience in the real estate industry is a plus, but a strong willingness to dive into real estate data is expected.
  • Fluent in English; good German skills are a bonus.
